My Ideal Partner

Is there such a thing as an ideal partner? I've never really given it much thought . What does the term "ideal" represent in matters of the heart? Sounds a bit like looking for second hand part that fits into a broken engine "Well that's an ideal part...' I think people are far more complex and interesting than they are "ideal" .
