I am an animal person and I have a cat and a dog. The dog is more fun but my cat can be great company, too. I love swimming. It's not about cooling down when the earth is baking but for me it is the only form of exercise that I can engage in without having to push myself too hard. Speaking of exercise and fitness, I used to be quite overweight but have managed to bring my weight down to where everybody just says... Wow!
