About Me

I would like to think I am reasonably intelligent. I have just finished a degree in philosophy and will hopefully soon begin an honors degree. I am a caring person; I am highly empathetic. I believe in treating people as more than a means to an end: I do not believe in objectifying others, whether in regards to sexual fulfillment, or a blatant disregard for anothers needs. I will often have a pretty unique perspective on things, such is the nature of what I study; yet I am someone who loves to learn at heart, and will always pay great attention to what is being said of me. Hearing another persons experiences is always highly stimulating, and I love gaining new perspectives on my own knowledge through hearing of these experiences. I am confident, and I am always willing to admit my mistakes. In fact, I place a great importance towards a person feeling comfortable enough to criticise me. I am a male who is unapologetic in being an emotional creature; I do not hide my feelings for the sake of an external perception of what 'being a man' should entail. I am creative; I write a great deal--typically I do a lot of journal writing (outside of my university work) as well as write short stories. Hopefully I don't sound too serious, because I am far from humorless; I enjoy engaging myself in different activities, and more importantly, I push myself to find the fun in many different experiences in life; that is, I am always motivated to engage with things found typically outside my comfort zone (well, to a degree :) )
