About Me

I am an intelligent, witty, kind and loyal woman who is looking for someone to share the remainder of my life with. I feel I need a major change of some sort, as my youngest is not far away from no longer needing me, and I love to feel needed by someone besides the cat! I love shows of affection which don't necessarily lead to anything else (but might!). Holding hands and cuddles are just wonderful - don't you think? I'm the typical nurturing Cancerian. I love watching movies and reading all kinds of books, particularly history. My taste in music ranges from classical to rock n roll - anything except techno or head banging stuff. I love cooking (no chef, but enjoy it none-the-less), and am a bit of a homebody. Love to take care of someone. I adore my family, but they are needing me less and less now. I really enjoy a climate that is a little on the wet side - I love the rain, adore great thunderstorms, and can't handle heat (not easy for one who lives where I do!), and would love to make a change to somewhere cooler and wetter - perhaps Tassie? I appreciate kindness, loyalty and compassion in a person, and would love to find someone I can just be myself with. I would be happy to become just penfriends at first if a person is too far away ..... if there is something there, we'll discuss meeting face to face. I am old fashioned about some things like manners and courtesy and respect, but happily embrace the modern stuff as well, and LOVE the new technology. I can't stand text speak, but understand the necessity of it - just a shame that it is slowly overtaking correct spelling and word usage. I've not had a social life in a long time, so feel a bit awkward and like I'm starting all over again.
